Holiday changes in Romanian schools 2023

In April 2022, the Ministry of Education approved and published the Monitorul oficial al româniei, Partea I, No. 326/4.IV.2022. The document defines the schedule for the academic year 2022/2023. Instead of semesters, it will be divided into five modules. They will be separated from each other by the following rest periods:

  1. Summer vacation;
  2. Autumn vacation;
  3. Winter vacation;
  4. February weekend;
  5. Spring vacation.

In addition to the usual holidays, schoolchildren will have Green Week and Different School. During Green Week, schoolchildren will go out into nature, attend electives and improve their knowledge of climate change and human impact on the environment.

Within the Different School, schoolchildren organize or attend various events. The idea of this initiative is to gain knowledge in a non-standard form. Basically it is a cultural and artistic activity. The Different School is included in the program “Different School: Know more to be better!”
