School holidays in Latvia 2022-2023 for different classes
Holiday dates in Latvian schools do not depend on the region. But they vary by class. In classes 9 and 12, students take exams (tests). Therefore, the last semester lasts longer for them, and the summer holidays are shorter.
What will be the school holidays in Latvia 2022-2023:
- Summer holidays 2022 for classes 1-8, 10 and 11: from June 1 to August 31
- Summer holidays 2022 for 9 classes: from June 15 to August 31;
- Summer holidays 2022 for 12 classes: from June 22 to August 31;
- Autumn holidays: from 24 to 28 October (22-30 including weekends) 2022;
- Winter holidays 2022-2023: from December 26, 2022 to January 6, 2023 (from December 24 to January 8, including holidays);
- Spring holidays: from 13 to 17 March (11-19 including weekends) 2023;
- Summer holidays 2023 for classes 1-8, 10 and 11: from June 1 to August 31;
- Summer holidays 2023 for 9 classes: from June 15 to August 31;
- Summer holidays 2023 for 12 classes: from June 22 to August 31.
Other weekends in Latvian schools
Apart from school holidays, schools in Latvia are closed on public holidays. If they fall on school holidays, then, of course, they are not transferred. Here is a list of official holidays on which Latvian schools will be closed:
- November 18, 2022 – Independence Day;
- April 7, 2023 – Good Friday;
- April 10, 2023 – Easter Monday;
- May 1, 2023 – Labor Day;
- May 4, 2023 – Restoration of Independence Day;
- May 5, 2023 – celebration of the Restoration of Independence Day.
