March 3 – Liberation Day.

- April 15 – Orthodox Great Saturday;
- April 16 – Orthodox Easter;

- May 1 – Day of Labor and International Solidarity of Workers;
- May 6 – Saint George’s Day, Day of Courage and the Bulgarian Army;
- May 24 – Day of Bulgarian Education, Culture and Slavonic Literature.
September
- September 6 – Unification Day;
- September 22 – Independence Day.
On September 6, 1885, there was an armed uprising and the seizure of power in Plovdiv (Eastern Rumelia). As a result, an Act of unification of the Principality of Bulgaria with Eastern Rumelia was signed. But only on September 22, 1908, the independence of Bulgaria was proclaimed.
December

There are so-called unofficial holidays in Bulgaria. They are not approved by law and are working days. But each unofficial holiday has its own traditions. We have listed them below in chronological order.
